Stopping To Smell The...Ah...Well...

...Roses just AREN'T in bloom yet! So, I stopped to smell an assortment of OTHER flowers growing magnificently along my path down to the lake. And I thought I'd share just a few pictures of the wonderful, Sunday beauty on my way to Lake Washington from my house.

Enjoy!

I am so jealous right now....the green of our tulips is all we've got right now. I did see a handful of croci and I think a few blue something-or-others (not sure what they are). I am anxiously awaiting the appearance of lady slippers in the back of my building. They are on the protected list here and luckily we have one more each year on the property. I will post pics when they appear.

Tulips and ferns and genuinely green green plants had me feeling just a wee bit envious. Thanks for including pic of cold grey water to remind me why I live in the desert!
Now I gotta go find a creosote bush to hug and smell!
