Going In For The "Talk"...

I made an appointment today and I'm "going in" this week to have THE talk with my neurologist...THE talk where I let her know my thoughts about continuing MS treatment(s) or not. THE talk where we will most likely NOT see eye to eye, but I will take the opportunity to explain my concerns and motives for possibly stopping medications now or in the near future. THE talk where I will hopefully leave the office unscathed and intact after stating my position (most likely against medical advice). THE talk in person versus email communications...novel idea, eh?...

I love the cartoon, Linda! LMAO! The joy of doctors...

I wish you the best in speaking with SWWNBN about the possibility of discontinuing meds. You have been through so many side effects lately... that must be very draining on so many levels.

Here's wishing you clarity and peace.

Everybody's case is different and I'm convinced that there are no great predictors. Without a disease modifying agent my MRI's have been unchanged for the first time.Of course, I'm quite possibly a fluke or have flukes or something. Good luck talking with SWWNBN. Remember it's their job to treat with whatever they have in their arsenal and they take their job seriously. I'm sure there must be a trade named pharmaceutical for hangnails, just in case you saw a doc and had absolutely nothing else wrong with you.

Heh ... good luck, but I'm betting on your Neruo ... sounds like she can break boards with a stern glare.

Oh dear, the dreaded talk. But how would the conversation go if it were between Beavis and Butthead? That's one I'd like to hear...hint, hint.

Stick to your guns (I can't imagine you doing anything but that) and just do what's right for you. My doctor was totally against it but it's working for me.

i have to admit when you first said "the talk" I was thinking of "the talk" my parents gave me about safe sex - LOL maybe my mind is just in the gutter, or as you said you're happy I'm "safe & sound" back in the UK so maybe this just proves I'm safe but not sound - LOL
