FEVER...

Peggy Lee isn't the only one with "fever"...I imagine my recent auto accident and combined stress has tipped the health scale in a negative direction. I'm running a nice above 100.2 -101* fever as of last night and today (had a brief reprieve from it early morning, but it snuck back in by late morning). Left side of my face has gone numb, left leg is having sharp, shooting pains bursting down the front, torso is tight like a girdle, and I have a growing headache.

I'd utter out loud, "Somebody just shoot me", but I'm afraid "someone" might and it would be too late to change my mind. :-) For now, I'll just yell out, "FEVER!"...Peggy Lee style...

  1. Stay loose and rest.

I always enjoy your posts, even if I don't do much more that lurk.

Take a cold shower and it might (should?) help. (You do have a grab bar in your tub/shower? [I got one and I feel so much safer.])

  5. Holy CRAP! I leave you alone for a week or so and all hell breaks loose! I had to go back and read the story to find out about your car accident and all the rest.

I'm REALLY sorry all this stuff is happening, and wish you the best!

  7. Husband RJ and I just went through that. I was over it in less than a week, but now am having issues with memory, hearing and balance.

Please get better soon, and take what you can to keep down the temps.

  8. Sorry about your fever and aches--bet the stress of the accident was a trigger--just don't let Diane send you any of her HH aides to take care of you...nothing is worse than a fever...

  12. Uh-oh. My girlfriend came over the night before for a "girl's night out" and we were going to go play at the mall with some plastic but then she woke up with the flu....same kind you have.

    I better not catch it!

GET WELL. GET WELL. I insist.
