It comes from repeatedly lapping up water from the toilet bowl...an activity I learned from my cat. She seems pretty healthy at the moment, however...I, on the other hand, am down for the count with my own version of Kennel Cough.
I'll be back after a brief station break (and fever break, cough break, and runny nose/achy bones break)...
I fixed the link to the carnival on my blog...thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteS.
Poor Ms. Cheese, I feel for you. And now you have to return to work? The injustice! Have some chicken soup and stay warm...that's what all good Bubbie's say.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you're feeling better soon. I hate colds. I've done real well this year, especially since I started the Avonex. Half expected to be sick all the time. I feel one coming on too. I swear by Airborne. It's that crap a teacher invented. I swear by it. If I even think I'm getting ill, I'll take it once a day for a few days and I don't get ill.
ReplyDeleteAre you getting better or worse at this point in your illness? My second day of it I thought I was getting better. I couldn't have been more wrong! I'm now on my 6th day and do feel a smidge better. I hope you get there quick.
ReplyDeleteya know there's a vaccine for kennel cough, maybe you need to make an appt with the vet instead of the doctor ;)
ReplyDeleteOh dear....you rest now and certainly try not to contaminate your keyboard. We don't want you giving the 'kennel cough' right back to yourself. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon. I've managed to stave off the cold, just have my normal MS pain, but the hubby still has the hurting cough. Got him some Buckley's cough medicine to help fix him up. The winter storm has hit, so we're just going to snuggle up and ride it out. Happy February.

BUBBIE:
ReplyDeleteActually, MY Bubbie would have made a concoction of garlic and onions brewed in a large pan, then SLOPPED on your chest with only a towel between you and the boiling hot, stinky GUNK!...Covered with saran wrap just to make sure it stayed in place.
I imagine that's why I never told my Bubbie when I was sick?...LOL
CALLIE:
ReplyDeleteAirbourne, eh? My over paid and voodoo-practicing neurologist told me to take Zicam...swears by THAT! Personally, I prefer VALIUM...Doesn't cure a cold or flu, but ya just don't give a rat's a$$~!~!

MISS CHRIS:
ReplyDeleteI think "better"...either that or I've died and just don't know it.
LD
SARA:
ReplyDeleteI imagine my neurologist and vet went to the same medical school!

LISA E:
ReplyDeleteI think that's exactly WHERE I picked the crud up in the first place...a keyboard and phone at work! Nasty little coworkers all running around with this crud...

MICHELLE:
ReplyDeleteAnd happy February to you as well (or Candlemas or Ground Hog's Day or...)

DIANE:
ReplyDelete"And your little dog, too!" Said by the wicked and sickly witch of Seattle...

Is it really true you can get sick from your pet? Shelly has been sneezing all day yesterday I was playing when I told her, "she better not give me her cold".
ReplyDeleteBLINDERS OFF:
ReplyDeleteLOL...Well, there ARE some illnesses one can catch from pets (like pinworms, cat scratch fever, etc.), but kennel cough is NOT one of them. I'm no vet, but I also think kennel cough is only transmitted via canines...although my silly cat might WANT to give me kennel cough!
